Life Coaching Experience
I have lived and worked in 6 different countries around the world, including the UK (the country of my birth and where I reside now), Turkey (3 years), Saudi Arabia (2 years), Dubai in the UAE (7 years), South Africa (13 years) and Qatar (6 years), all of which has provided me with a deep understanding of the human condition with all of its flaws, fears and inconsistencies. My life coaching experience has included the following interventions:
-
King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals: Dhahran, Saudi Arabia: Acted as a volunteer life coach for new faculty members relocating to this strict Islamic country and who were finding the vast cultural gap difficult to acclimatise to which was therefore affecting their sense of personal well-being.
-
The Corporate Development Consultancy, Johannesburg, South Africa: Headed the company's Employee Assistance Program to provide a life coaching service to staff facing challenges in their personal lives, which included managing finances, dealing with unreasonable demands of family and handling racism in the community.
-
Nasser Bin Khaled Holdings Company, Doha, Qatar: Set up a coaching network in the company by training nominated supervisors on my Coaching for Optimum Performance program and then establishing them as workplace coaches in their respective departments. As a result of this, I became the 'go to' person in the company to assist employees with life coaching issues which included establishing a work-life balance, dealing with stress both in and outside of the workplace and enhancing their personal relationships.
